Just put in a reman steering box 2 days ago. As far as I know I bled it properly, had it on jack stands turned it both directions
for a while and then some. It is full of fluid. The problem is it turns a little harder to the left a little easier to the right. It drives
a lot better than the old box. I hesitate to return it because I believe it's a crap shoot with reman stuff, but if this is a bad
situation I will. Is it?

I would make sure that your steering is not binding with the truck's front wheels off the ground. If that checks out I would return the box, it is not supposed to be that way...

Did you cycle it with the wheels off the ground? Is there air in the pump?
Check the suspension pieces for binding like zieg said.

Ok I return that steering box. The next one leaks, leaks a lot. Take that one back. #3 after 50 miles seems perfect!

That's encouraging...
