383 stroker for $1400....had motor taken pulled apart and this is what in it
Eagle forged internally balanced crank 3.480 stroke for 6 inch rod
eagle h beam rods 6 inch
srp forged flat top pistons
also has edelbrock performer rpm heads polished
has long slot roller tip rocker arms
these were still brand new in box:
edelbrock performer air gap intake
edelbrock elite valve covers tall

Was this a running motor or was it just newly assembled? Heck yeah I'd say that was a great deal IMO. Heads alone are worth almost what you bought the whole long block for.

motor was pulled out of a camaro....i have a guy that pulled it apart and rebuilding it for me....he said everything is new.....and that in all of the 50 yrs hes been building motors ....he has never seen machine work that good!
-
Sounds like the motor wasnt in the Camaro very long. Good deal.
-
wasnt.... guy needed money! i took the risk... jumped all over it!
-
One thing. If it has a 3.48" stroke it's a 350, not a 383. Nonetheless, I'd say you still got a heck of a deal.
-
That's def not a 383 you bought.... What's the bore dia?
-
6" rods usually indicate a 358 depending on the over bore.
-
Is it a 400 crank?.... but just like the everyone else said, you got an awsome deal.
-
sorry its 3.75 stroke bored 40 over!
