Title: 6" lift question
Post by: beastie_3 on November 04, 2009, 08:16:40 pm
I have a 79 K10 with a 6" lift with a 4" steering arm. I see that there is a 2" pitman arm and 2" draglink available for the truck to help even more with the steering. Besides the price difference, which route would be better?

I would do the pitman arm if I was going to do anything, but with the steering arm already installed you should be about as good as stock.

Superlift and Skyjacker both say to do it for best results.

That's because they sell parts for a living,....... I have 6" lift and just the steering block(dana60) and my truck turns just as tight to the right as it does to the left. That's how you know if it's needed, the steering will be sharper to the left than it is to the right.
