I did a search and did not come up with an answer. I am looking to improve the MPG of my 89 Suburban with the 454. Now, I know it is not an econo-box and not capable of 20+ MPG, I just want to make sure that I am squeezing the most out of it that I can, and that it is running the best it can.
I was wanting to know if any of the fancy 3 prong, Platinum, wisbang plugs are worth the extra money. No I don't want to spend $25 each for the new pulse plug, I am talking plugs in the $5 or maybe less range.
I also know that there are other factors that effect MPG, I am addressing those also, just looking for answers on the plugs.
Thanks

You might try some NGK Iridium spark plugs, they made a difference in my old chevy, starts/ runs a little better, and maybe 1-2 mpg better on gas.Plus you dont have to change 'em again for a long time they last like twice as long (or longer) as conventional plugs.
