ahhh crap! i put it in the wrong section!! anybody know how to move it to the right one?
-
once a mod logs on they will move it. but this seams like the right section for members rides. anyway welcome from Maryland keep us updated on the progress and most of all have fun while doing it or it will just seam like another job
-
Yeah what he said, enjoy building it or you will get burnt out. Its looking good just stick with it and it will be done in no time. Oh by the way welcome aboard.
-
Welcome from Texas. Your doing a good job with it. Have fun. What color are you planning on painting it, or have you gotten that far in decision making?
-
Very nice!!!
-
thanks a lot everybody.. for now i might keep it in gray primer and just get to driving it. Im pretty anxious cause ive only drove probably 3 miles on the new engine if that. Sometimes I have to remind myself that this isnt a job and I should have fun while working on it but then again I'm on the body work portion which isnt to much fun
-
Great progress!! Just keep at it, regular primer is not water proof. If you're going to prime it and leave it, use epoxy.
-
hey nice truck...im like 2 hrs away from you in yakima...have you thought about painting it the same color it was in the first pic....i think it looks sharp. anyway good work and your still in highschool? im just getting into working on vehicles and i am 29...wish i would have started 10 yrs ago....i would have way more knowledge by now instead of just starting out..congrats!
-

I think that is the million dollar question on here. They look good in almost any color you can put on them.
-
Welcome aboard. Looks like the beginning of an awesome project. Keep us posted.
-

-

I thought it was just me.
-
I liked mine in gray primer until I got stuck with it for 6 months... ;D Paint is good.
-
it definitely looks good but I dont wanna drive it until everything is finished. just kinda how i am lol. i got my seat brackets shifter and seats today so im excited to get things moving. Only problem is that my floor has some rough spots so i might have to spend a while fixing it. cant decide if i want to get the 5 piece floor kit or just patch up some of the areas. what do you guys think?

It all depends on how bad it is and how good you can weld. Any pics of the rust?

do it the right way, the way you want it while you have it torn apart now. too much work to take it down to decide to repair it later.
-
i dont have any updated pictures but i cut out a lot of the holes cause i planned on welding in new pieces but now i might just buy a replacement floor pan. the worst spot is that peice of metal that holds the gasket down by the rocker. both sides :/
-
hey guys I am in a pickle... Thought i wanted to paint my truck limetime green but now i kinda wanna go with something more old school like Gunmetal gray.. what do you think??
-
get house of kolor's orion silver, mix it 1:1 with the black basecoat, awesome color.
-
I think gunmetal gray will get attention because it looks cool. I think the lime green will get attention because it's one of those that says "look at me". I vote for the gunmetal....or orion silver.
-
yeah see my thing was that i love how the lime green looks and everything but i dont wanna get sick of how bright and flashy it would be. plus ive always liked the matte/flat look on a truck.
also is the paint cheaper then if i did a gloss?
-
hey guys here is a little update on my truck. finally picked a color after going back and forth a few times. chose sage green which they used to paint vw bus' back in the 70's. couldnt be happier with the outcome and now i just wanna paint the whole truck. let me know what you guys think about the color!!(http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u32/gadzuk09/P1000064.jpg) (http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u32/gadzuk09/P1000061.jpg) (http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u32/gadzuk09/P1000062.jpg)
