I have had my truck for some time and the voltmeter, oil and water gages have never really worked. All I did was put in some Autometer gages.I would like to get them working again.Does anyone know how to tell if the circut board is bad? Thanks

Check the fuse would be where I would start.  You might get lucky and that is all that's wrong.  Sometimes you can see a problem with a circuit board, sometimes you can't.  I had a bad one effecting my gas gauge when the lights were on.  $35 later at the local pick n pull I landed a new one with a quartz clock in it.  I put all my gauges back into the truck because I knew how they read..

If you want to check the circuit board, pull the cluster out and turn it over.  If it is broken or burnt, it will be obvious.
