Title: Photoshop Request (Grille)
Post by: 78 Chevyrado on December 08, 2009, 01:02:59 pm
I was wondering if someone could black out the plastic part of the grille (not the trim or emblem)  and also the gray painted part in the headlight buckets.  I'm thinking of painting them because I do like the black grilles, and I think the gray it's painted now it too close to the body color.

Thanks Guys

Here's what MS Paint will do for ya.  The bezels wouldn't come out right so I gave up.

I blacked out my headlight bezels, and it looks good to me. not too hard either. I'm probably the only one who notices it though.

Don't mess with perfection.  Yours is one of the best looking trucks on this site...

Do it. I did it to mine and I think it looks great. I will see if I can dig up a pic for you later.

Hey event, I use MS paint sometimes too.  The trick is to enlarge the pic to about 300% then start your artistical ability. Then reduce it back to 100%.  That way, little slips won't show up that much and you can better get in the little spots and angles.

Is this what you are referring to?

Just like this one, except I'm going to keep the chrome strips across the grille.

IMO, it's not worth the effort.  Your truck is already a looker.

I like the grille color some of the time, but at times it looks exactly the same color as the truck, which for me doesn't quite fit the truck to me.  I would have gotten the lighter argent or chrome grille had they been available.  I may not mess with it, but I probably will...lol  I dunno, it came new with the light silver grille, but I don't remember what it used to look like.  I saw black on a few trucks here and there and they really looked good, but it was mostly on brighter colored trucks, IE red, orange, yellow, white.  I've been thinking either black or along the lines of the argent-like color of my back bumper (silver).  I'd love an NOS chrome OE grille, but that ain't gonna happen.

I dunno, it may be just me, but at times, the grille looks kinda wrong because it matches the body paint so close.  I dunno.
