Title: Trim On Tailgate
Post by: heavychevy91 on December 09, 2009, 11:21:47 am
Does anyone know here I can find a trim panel like the one below, my truck didnt come with one and I like how they look. What would be involved in installing one? I figure drilling a few holes or is it held on by tape? Also I looked in   Truck and didnt see anything like this in there, so is this pretty much  junkyard only thing?

Thanks,
Tim

It just un bolts/screws from the bed side of the tailgate. There are 2 pieces, inner and outer.

I've got one you can have but I'm in Illinois. It's off an 82, but looks like the one in the pic

You might do a search on ebay for chevy tailgate panel.
I've seen those panels new for $400 or so. They can get expensive! There's always a complete tailgate or two on there as well, but shipping can run the cost up ..
