I started telling about my truck in the welcome thread, but I am going to need lots of help, lol. Truck is a 79 1 ton regular cab two wheel drive. The bed(even the bottom), fenders, inner fenders, core support, ans even battery box are like new. The bottom of the cab though is gone. The rockers (inner and outer), floors, and cab mounts are gone. (the cab mounts are completely nonexistant) Anyhow I got a perfect cab, but it is an 86. I know the basic differences there, but not a big deal because I am using the hood and grill off of a 91. What about the core support? I didn't get it off of the 91, but I have the 86. Are they the same or do I need an 88-91? That is step one. I will be working hard on this truck over the next month. Can't wait to get it together.

Core support depends on which grille you want, the 91 or the 86. You stated you wanted to use the 91 grille, so I thin youre gonna need a 91 core support.Other than that, should all bolt together.

Yeah using the 91 grille. SO the 86 and 91 core support are different then right? That sucks. Now I have ot find a core support.

If you want the side by side 89-91 headlights they are different, if you want the stacked version they are the same.
