Title: Remanufactured Obsolete Engines
Post by: 327power on December 12, 2009, 03:40:45 am
I think I found a good place to get a remanufactured oddball engine such as a 235, 261, a Pontiac 239, 251 Desoto, etc. Their called United Engine Specialists. I found 'em on Ebay Motors. I was interested because I didn't think you could even buy a reman 235 or 261 anymore.
Don't know a thing about 'em but the engines are really neat. Cool!

Again, Jasper would also be a good place to go for these types of engines.

It may seem like this is a plug for jasper, which technically it isn't because they aren't paying me to type this, but when it comes to engines, i believe in doing it right the first time---because i really don't like engine swapping.

Yeah, I post up info for different engines for all the people that might be interested. I am already planning on buying a 350 from Pace Performance as soon as I redeploy from Iraq in a short amount of time. I checked out Jasper engines, but it looks like you have to let them install your engine. Is that true? I enjoy installing my engines and doing swaps and what not.  Its part of being a car guy.
I am leaning towards Pace since they sell real GM engines brand new. Thanks.

Most local GM dealerships will match the cost + shipping on crates so you may want to check locally also.
