Title: Thinking of Doing the TPI setup
Post by: KoolerSL2 on December 13, 2009, 03:30:26 pm
hey guys.

well in light of driveability issues on my truck with carbs and such im thinking of going to TPI.
im already sourcing a setup and parts and i need to ask a couple questions.

first who has first hand experience with getting a custom burnt prom chip?
also how much work is reqired to the this setup to breathe anywhere in the 5500 to 6000 range?
i know stock they breathe to around 5k max.

Stock TPI's go to 4800 max, pushing it to 5200.
To go more you need better runners.

If the motor is stock, a stock PROM will work.

not stock motor.
planning on putting this setup on my built 350 thats in the truck now.

so runners will help with the breathing, whats your thoughts on the lower?
get a better flowing one or port it along with the upper?

Mod a LT1 setup for the old style motor.
