Sounds like the SM465 it pushs down then turns . Do you have a haynes or chilton book it describes it pretty well. Be careful the tranny alone weighs around a 185 pounds

Push down on the outside round retainer. Make sure the trans is in neutral and rotate counter clockwise about 1/4".

You guys rock came out just like ya said and now I know what tranny I have. THANK YOU!!!!!
-
When it goes back together make sure you can shift through the gears before you put the ring back on. You are able to drop back in, in the wrong spot and it won't shift at all.

How about tips to remove pilot bearing.
-
If you have a solid round shaft the same size as the input shaft of the transmission I have filled the pilot bushing with grease and the round shaft tries to compress the grease and the grease pushes out the pilot bushing but it has to be a tight fit.
-
You have a 5/8 tap ? run it in the pilot bearing it will hit the end of the crank and push the pilot bushing out
-
Tried the grease last night with no result and I'll try rhe 5/8 today,Thanks for all the help guys.Sorry I jumped topic on everyone.
