ok heres the deal i kno someone swapped out my switch where i adjust my heat an all cuz it has ac on it an my truck did not come with ac. any how when i put it on ac something blows out of my main vent like a fan blowing that i havent found yet but its not heat. an when i put my heat on the blower comes on under the hood but all i got is defrosters nomatter wat i do or swith on this thing. anyone know why this is ?. second it takes for ever to get heat in this thing to im running a 160 thermo with a 4 core radiater i drive like 45 mins before my heat even gets warm

as far as the no heat, your heater core may be plugged up, not allowing a lot of heat transfer. you can flush the heater core out and see if that helps.
-
Change your thermostat to a 195 degree. My SB truck needs a 195 to make heat with that big 4 core radiator in there.

Why are you running a 160 T-stat?
-
Switch to at least a 180 thermostat. There is really no reason to run a 160 on the street.
As far only getting defrost, you need to pull off your glovebox and check the defroster/temp door cable.
-
Take a pic of your heater box in the engine compartment and one of your heater control switch so we can see what you're dealing with since it's a tampered system. I agree on a 195° T-stat. Is the vacuum hose hooked up to the vacuum reserve cannister and is there a supply of manifold vacuum to it?
