I was just curious what these "nubs" are for. I couldnt get a close enough look to see if they are threaded or not or just part of the casting.

Support mounts. A fixture fits into the holes to mount the trans on. I have one jigged up right now if you wanna see pics let me know.

Is that something that came stock on our trucks or a different vehicle?

I think it was stock. It's for a clamp for a trans workbench.

Ah, for some reason I was thinking it was a support bracket under the truck.

All those years of automotive work and classes, Ive never seen that before. But, Ive never been around transmissions and T cases.
Any idea about the bottom two nubs? Or are they being used in the pic?
