While I was stripping my donor cab down I broke the weld off the nut for the seat belt bolt in the pillar. Anybody got any ideas short of cutting a hole? It's in a pretty tight spot.

I'm not sure how the bolt/mount works. (I've got lap belts)
Have you thought about drilling the hole in the sheetmetal a little larger and tacking the face of the mounting nut? (a bolt threaded in so you don't booger up the threads)

What's in there is a brace attached to the pillar and a square nut welded to the brace. The hole in the interior sheet metal is somewhat larger than the shouldered bolt for the seat belt so a bit of the brace shows. Maybe like you said donut I can drill into the piece of brace and weld the nut then get the bolt out. That seat belt was changed by the p.o. hopefully he didn't crossthread the bolt for me. Also a friend of mine was "helping me out" and broke that for me so I'm not sure why it broke the weld.

Maybe you can make the hole a bit larger, so you can weld the nut right to the panel. or just drill a some small holes where the nut will contact, and hold the nut in place with a bolt or something and tack it on like doing a spot weld repair.
