Title: Tailgate Trim Panel
Post by: Armor on January 20, 2010, 06:49:19 am
i have an older tailgate that has the letters for chevrolet across the center not in the corner. I have the opportunity to purchase the filler piece from the newer trucks that is the same height as the taillights, and was wondering if it would fit or is the tailgate different. If it will whats a good price for it? the guy is parting out the truck and wants an offer.

thanks
morgan

I would leave the lettering and not ruin the gate.

Sorry I can't answer your question, but I kind of like the "old school" stamped letters too.  What you've got looks good on your truck.  Good luck with it, though.

To mount it you must drill holes in the current gate to bolt it up, through both walls.

well i went to look at it and after holding it up to the truck the seller said also that the truck looks better without it too. oh well it was worth a shot.
