Can anyone suggest epoxy primer that is either 2k aerosol or sold in small quantities? I've looked around and it seems everyone wants you to buy a gallon + hardener? I really want something suited for a small repair here and there.

I have bought epoxy primer in quart containers from my local automotive paint store. I think I have seen it in rattle cans at Autozone or Wal-Mart too.

I got some 2K epoxy primer aerosol. Its made by SprayMax can get it at:

R&E paint supply.......great for small projects.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've never seen anything aerosol epoxy at a store before, and I've been looking everywhere. Buying a quart somewhere might be an option. Chronos: how did the aerosol work out? Did you put anything over it, like high build urethane primer, top coat, etc.? How was the coverage (would it do half a hood for our trucks, the whole thing)? I assume you would buy it again or you wouldn't suggest it? Does anyone out there think I should skip epoxy and try to use self etching primer for small repairs? I just don't feel right about using it over feathered old paint, bare metal, and body filler. For just bare metal I don't have any reservations.

do not use spray can primer...There is no spray can epoxy. Might be able to get a quart as stated before.
Spray can primer will absorb moisture and rust out the panel underneath.

Yeah I'm leaning toward getting a quart somewhere. Spray cans are convenient but I don't really trust them either.
