OK i got a lead on some auto meter gauges and the speed is mechanical and its got a threaded part for the cable and my 79 stock cable is a push on type so my question is what do i need to do to make this speedo work. thanks for the info to come.

I bought a new speedo cable from Napa when I done my gauge swap. If I can find the receipt I will post a part number for you.

I took the end and cut 4 slots down the side of it (12, 3, 6, 9 o'clock) and spread it apart just a bit. Then I used a hose clamp to keep it in place. I dont have pics though.

hey thats the same thing I did

For our 84 K10 I used the speedo cable from a 69 nova Pioneer CA 3004 its around 83 inches long

So does the nova cable have the correct end on it, and any part numbers would be great thankyou
