What went wrong with your install? I didn't follow that.

I think that you would have to widen the stake pockets to fit the housings for the caddy lights. You could use the leds like I did and put a caddy lens over it. That would save you from widen the pocket. Check with these guys they might already have something. http://www.customclassic.com/

83,
look at the link i provided a few posts ago and scroll down.I tried to lay them on their side in the rollpan but screwed up cause the housings were to close together when they got welded and the lights didnt sit in right...

If you do use them make sure you install them with the lights to mock up exactly where you want the lamp. Then tack the buckets in place. Trace them with a sharpie and pop em back out. Cut em down and carefully weld them back in so you don't warp the pan. I would try to photoshop it first bc you might not like them.

Right above the licence plate frame i was going to use a b/u light from a 89 grand am rear bumper and flush mount it ..

I see AVS sells LED lights w/ backup lights but I've heard they are kinda sketchy with delivery and what they do and don't have in stock.

i also wanted to get led's and flush mount them in the front fenders where the oem marker lights are, avs sells the amber 4.5 inch light that i want to use and doing that i thought leaving the stock tail lights would look weird, like i started to customise my truck some and the quit half way, i thought of maybe lowering the stock tail light and its bracket as far as i can on the stake pocket, how would that look to you guys with the flush mount led's up front in the fenders? thanks let me know 8)
