I think it would look good on your truck, if it was my truck, I'd to that color combo in the factory two tone style (keeping the center mouldings on) I think that is a great characteristic of the 73-80 trucks
-
it would look good black and red the colors are inferno red (maroon) off an 04 neon . the black is factory black code .your truck would look awesome in these colors the gold in the red really stands out. You could do it like a special edition truck with stripes on the hood and factory options like heavy half chevy sport or any thing you car imagine. good luck it looks cool now with these colors too ;D
-
I agree, bothe trucks look good.
-
yea i need inspiration from other trucks cuz i got no creativity or imagination to come up with things on my own. your truck is an inspiration.

Here's a few 2 tones i've seen in some other places, I think the owners done some excellent jobs on theirs... maybe this could give you some color ideas.

Very nice paint schemes. I like the yellow one the most. Anyone catch the similarities between those trucks besides the 2 tone paint?
-
I agree, the yellow one is sweet and I like the red and black truck also. Similarities? They are all SWB 1/2 ton fleetsides.

Score! Is it a factory 81 Z28 Air Induction Scoop? If so I'd like to see more close-up pics on your hood. Did it cover the entire center ridge on the hood? It was just bolt-on right?
-
I got the scoop from jc whitney it was a stick on but I took bolts and welded them to metal strips and used body glue to glue it to the scoop. I had to cut approx 6 inches tords the rear of the scoop the center crease was dimpled in to make a tight fit but I wish I would of molded a nicer end im doing another for my friends rollback im doing it and shipping it to him

I like those trucks they look good I like the yellow
-
I can't believe you found that scoop in the dump, what a deal!
-
The similarities I was gettn at was the 5 spoke wheel club but, yes, they are all SWB too.
-
they are all nice but the big wheels are overkill to me I like the wide 15'' wheels with that period correct look but that is what makes it fun :)

IMO the 73-87 Rally wheels are some of the best looking wheels out there, they rank higher to me than any OEM and most aftermarket wheels.

i agree the tires last alot longer too the look it timeless
