So, i'm swapping my 82 longbed from a turbo 350 to a turbo 400. Does anyone know if there's a 1 piece driveshaft for the turbo 400 in the aforementioned longbed? if so, what years, options would I need to be looking for to find 1 in a junkyard/craigslist? Eventually i'll have a custom 1 built after I make it a shortbed, but for now a stock one will work. Thanks

It depends on the output of your TH400. Is the shaft bolted to the yoke? If so you'll need a slip yoke drive shaft. If you have the long tailshaft 400 you'll need just a solid one piece shaft. Try www.car-part.com

it'll be slip yoke, i'm trying to find out if any factory longbeds came with a turbo 400 and 1 piece driveshaft? For that matter, it'll prob be a short tailshaft t400 as well. If not, I guess I can always shorten my existing 1 at home. It's not terribly difficult. Thanks

The short tail TH400 would be a two piece slip yoke driveshaft. The one piece driveshaft came with the long shaft TH400
