Title: New guy, pic of truck & a driveshaft question
Post by: Tater502 on January 25, 2010, 04:46:44 pm
Heres my 79 GMC Sierra Grande LWB 3/4 ton.
I'm swapping the 203 transfer case for a 241c out of a 90 blazer. The driveshaft yoke is bolted to the 203, the blazer driveshaft just slid into the rear of the 241. Any ideas on what I should do?

Got both driveshafts? Cut the end of both and swap the new one onto the old shaft compensating for any length differences.

The front shaft out of the donor will work. the rear shaft from another long bed truck will work or a suburban might work depending on your lift.

Chevalade, I have both shafts from the blazer. That might work, but I think theres a big difference in diameter between them. Would it still be doable?

VileZambonie The lift is 4" suspension and 2 " body, what the previous owner told me. What year of truck would I be looking for, anything with a 208 or 241 transfer case?
