Title: Buying tips
Post by: BBCurtiss on January 31, 2010, 11:38:28 am
So, I'm going to look at a 78 SWB 2wd with a 402 (396) bigblock. It needs a head gasket for sure, and thats no problem. The body's rust free, other than rock chips on the rockers. What are common problem problems for these trucks and what to look out for when buying?

Look out for the fact that you will love the truck. The most common problem for these trucks is RUST so you've got a solid body the rest is cake.

Rust clear: I'd say its pretty clean!
And, looks like the bed is well built, so that could be sold for a pretty pennie, right?
