P.S. already ditched the awesome home made lumber rack and running boards..

Good call on the ditches ;) You can convert it or just look for a donor to do the swap (a lot less work but maybe a little harder to find).
-
your tellin me!! the K3+3s go like hot cakes!! and not mention their overall condition is usually banged up.. where the 2wds, are generally straighter bodies and nicer interiors.. sometimes.. this one isn't actually that bad... plus it was cheap!!

Get a donor 4x4 1T and start pulling parts off.
-
yea our latest plan is to finda 1T for cheap -maybe even with a lift already.. to have a donor truck and template.

I have a 76 3+3 C2500 that I picked up ($250 and a Honda Generator) from a guy which sat in his field for 10 years after a 2wd to 4wd conversion. He put all the running gear off a 75 Chev K25 3/4 ton under it and swapped out the 454 for a rebuilt 350. Not sure of all the details since I did not do the swap but could take pics and post if your interested. The 3+3's are awesome trucks!

yea! post some pix! .........

Hey, there is a 3/4 ton K suburban out her near patterson in the central valley...I dont know what year it is, the front clip is missing. If you cant find a donor out there in the 707, I try to stop and ask if this guy wants to sell it.

I'm in the same boat have a clean body but its 2 wheel after a lot of research I decided just to swap bodies and undercoat the frame while I'm at it just my 02 cents
