Title: Exterior striping on my 86. Two tone, Red with black through the middle.
Post by: lbrowne on February 08, 2010, 10:33:14 pm
So for the most part the body is in pretty darn good shape on my 86. The orange-ish pinstripe has seen it's day, as has the belt line chrome stick-on body side molding.

I was thinking of removing the belt line trim and replacing it with a red multi-line pinstripe. It would start from the bottom edge of the black and the lines would work themselves up into the black area, in between the red lines the black would show through. Like this:

Then on the top edge of the black up at the door handle height, run a silver pinstripe the length of the truck.

Anyone else ditch the the body molding roll on the side of their truck? I know it helps protect from door dings...
