Title: wheel fitment ?
Post by: lifted crewcab on February 12, 2010, 10:17:10 am
Does anyone know if the newer style trucks with a 8 lug bolt pattern fit our 8 lug style. Dodge , ford or chevy. I am looking to put some new style wheels on my k30 crewcab. I really like the new ford wheels on the 2500 series.

Dodge and Chevy 8 lug have always been the same, however Ford changed over to metric in 1997.  All 8 lugs will fit our trucks as long as they're not from a ford newer than 1997.  I'm running stock 16.5"  ford steelies on my Burban now.  You should still check your backspacing and tire clearance to see if they'll rub.  Another thing I've noticed is the center bore on ford rims is smaller than the chevy, could be a problem on 4x4 hubs but its not on 2wd.

I am running Hummer rims on my 1T.  Any Chevy 8 lug will work.  Dodge should be the same.
