I want to do a 3 / 5 drop on my 85 but i want the best ride possible out of it. i have been reading and it looks like a set of spindles in the front but i am not sure on the rear.
if you have pics of a 3/5 drop please post them up.

spindles are definatly the way to go up front. there are alot of different factors on the rear that will affect the amount of drop you get from a flip such as how many leafs you have and how weak the springs are, i ended up moving my hangers down on the frame on my flip kit because it was to low but it was alot of work getting the old rivets out and making brackets to support the hangers, i havent seen anyone else do this but it is a great way to fine tune the rear flip

I went with Bell Tech spindles in the front and in the rear I added dropped shackles and relocated front hangers up 3". This gives me about a 3 1/2-4 inch drop. When empty the ride is OK. With much weight in the box, it is on the bumpstops. I am running stock hangers and no c-notch so that is to be expected. I drive it all year long. I didn't know how it would handle snowy roads, but has done suprisingly well.

biggest thing I'd suggest is to cut the stock bumpstop brackets off, and use some short bumpstops in place. Also make sure you have decent shocks.
