Here it is my 1973 Chevy 4x4 custom 10 project. My dad and I have been working on this together since about June of 09 and this is how far we have gotten. It is a slow process though because i am still in highschool, but i am learning a lot. It has a 350 in it with a manual 4-speed transmission, and we just recently put 33x12.50 inch tires and a 3 inch suspension lift on it. I can't wait till it is done!

-

WOW that is really nice. What did you do the frame with?
-
I was gonna ask the same thing about the frame. It looks good.
-
Looks Great, Enjoy the time with our father. What shade of Blue?
-
The color is an acrylic enamel called Sprectramaster by Centari, it took a while to pick it out cause i wanted a diffrent kind of blue that you don't see very often. And the frame is not the one that was on this truck when we bought it, it is a diffrent frame. The original frame was all bent and twisted and had cracks in it so one of my dads friends sold us a frame that he had and i spent about 2 or 3 days wire brushing the whole thing down and then we put rust converter on the frame and painted it with some Black paint my dad had. Now we are working on the bed we had to pre-fit it together and drill some holes and now we are going to take the boards back out and stain them and polyurethane them.

Gotta love a blue stepside with a cowl hood.
That truck is comming out sweet.
Keep us posted on your progress.
-
Looks awesome! ;D
-
Nice! I was looking at the pic of your hood; you said your truck is a 73 and the front end looks like it too but the hood looks like a 81-87, cause I thought the 73-80's had the cowl slots in the hood. Or is it not that way with the cowl hoods?
-
That blue is really going to stand out. Are you going with a light gray interior? If so, great color combo.
-
Awesome!
-
The hood we got from a Truck magazine, and there is one that you can buy for my truck that has the slots in the hood but I bought the other style for my truck that didn't have the slots. :) And my interior is going to be a light gray color with a little darker blue. I am putting seats in my truck that my dad and I found of a 1990 Chevy truck. They are a darker blue with some gray, but We have to make a new frame for it thought so that it fits in my cab.
-
We are gettin ready to put the bed on this weekend, can't wait! I will post some pics then.
-
I f you have the straight bench seat from a '90 chev; you can probably use the frame from your current seat. It worked this way on my '80 anyway.
-
This seat we got is a 60 40, its not a full bench like my old one. I like the 60 40 seats thought because you can move the driver seat itself without moving the passenger seat.
-
Here is what we have gotten done in the last couple of days.
-
Looks good!
-
wow the truck looks good, wish i was that far keep up the good work and the pics coming 8)

Hi there guys, sorry if ya have been waiting for pictures, I have been very busy. To make a long story short i finally got the truck done and took it out for the first run and the engine went to junk on me. The engine ran good when we got the truck so my dad and me did not mess with it. But i guess after setting for a while when we were restoring the truck it just finally went bad. It had already been messed with and rebuilt so we just got rid of it and found another 350 that had not been messed with. My dad and me completely rebuilt this one and boy does it sound good, especially with the bigger cam :) But here is some pictures of my new hotrod engine. I will put some pictures of the truck on here when it quits raining and i can push it out of garage to get some good pictures.
