My truck came from the factory with cruise and the equipment is still there underneath the hood. At some point the turn signal lever with the controls was swapped out for a lever without the controls. Best I can figure is the guy didn't do any hwy driving and felt the extra bucks for the lever with controls wasn't worth the money... ??? Anyway, aside from the hassle of pulling the steering wheel which sucks, how much trouble is it gonna be to put the correct lever on this column? I have already looked up the part # and it is relatively cheap.

IMO if my tuck came with cruise i would want it to keep it regardless of a couple bucks unless i had another steering column just laying around (without cruise) i would of swapped them out.

They probably pulled it because the cruise control never really worked well
Look in the tech section. It describes how to pull one down in the truck. The hardest part would be fishing the wiring down the column. (after you pull the column down to do it.)
