Does anyone know where to get one of those old school roll bars that mount in the bed of one of these trucks? I've searched high and low on the net, and only found sites where they make them to order, which is a heckuva lot more than I remember the old smittybilt ones being! A guy used to be able to get those things from jcwhitney and just about any 4 x 4 accessory store. Now they just focus on the headache racks that all the kids use these days. I'm gonna stop at the junk yard (excuse me: auto dismantler!) and see if they can locate one. Crystal wants that old school roll bar in chrome with light tabs for KC lites...Her truck, her design! Found a guy that rebuilds trannys in Orangevale...will sell a rebuilt 700R4 for 695.00 with donor swap.

Other than JC Whitney and Smittybuilt, Im not sure. Check with Quality S. I used to sell their stuff to customers trying to save some money and IF I remember correctly, they had some. but that was over 5 years ago. I didnt see it on their site, but give them a call.

After a bit of deep searching, I found this site:

Craigslist is full of old chevys that were modified back in the day using parts that are now obsolete. I'm sure if you find someone selling a truck for cheap money and it has a roll bar they would part with the roll bar for a few bucks.
This was your typical England rot box truck found on Craigslist that was full of good parts for cheap money.
