I have an 85 c-10 and wanting to change out the front end or something to have more custom options, there are hardly any for my year. I would like to know if anyone has done this and the degree of changes that are neccessary for the procedure!! Any help would be great. you could answer me at havenshardsurface@yahoo.com or here, thanks much for the help!!!! :-\

You need to swap the core support, then you can use the 91 grill, and lights. If you do a search of the forums you will find several that have cover this subject with a bit more detail.

I had the same question and posted it some days ago. I got the same year heres what i got from capt!!!
As long as it is a 1989 R/V pickup with is the same as the 73-86 C/K pickups.
you are talking about 89-91 R/V trucks.

To add to what everyone is posting, if you go with a front end from a 81-87 truck 81-91 Blazer/Suburban/Crew Cab, all you have to change is the core support, you can reuse the fenders and hood.
If you prefer the look of the 73-80 front ends, you will have to change the whole front clip ie, core support, fenders, hood, and bumper. Good luck, hope this helps!
