Title: Seam Goop (?) Newbie question.....
Post by: Zeked on February 19, 2010, 11:34:32 pm
First time Frame up resto on my '87 Short Step 2x and I notice that there is
some kind of semi-flexible  "goop' between the major panels/around the bed step/drip rail etc.

What is it? and where do you buy it? I suspect 3M makes it and is there better/worse
ones to know about.   I apologize for the description, but I have never encountered
this stuff, but I dont want to put the body panels back and not do it right.

Thanks

Zeke

3M makes the seam sealer in brush on form or you can get it in the tube for a caulking gun.

Dynatron make it both ways, good product. Have also had good results with Transtar brand.
