Title: rear tailgate handle on my '91 burb
Post by: Stowburb on February 22, 2010, 07:53:59 am
does anyone have a clue as to why GM used a left hand tread for the adjustment bolt on the handle on the tailgates?

What a bright idea that was! is there a reason for that? and can i just tap it to right hand treads and use a normal bolt? or will i have to get the correct bolt for it to work correctly?

 Thanks

well, a left hand thread bolt is unavailable, so i just taped it for a "normal" bolt....lets hope it works ok.

Generally they do this because the use will allow it to unbolt.  Where on the handle, that ACTUAL handle?
