howdy y'all,
i'm active duty, just got stationed in fort bliss, and i bought a 77 K20 4x4
Its got a 4 inch lift and 35x12.5's right now, and a brand spankin new 406 thats got less then 100 miles on it
i'm going to restore this truck, i got plenty of combat pay to fix up the way i want it :D
first priority is registering it so i can drive it around texas - i gotta fix the windshield, the emergency brake cable, and the horn so it'll pass texas inspection
this website seems like a really good one... i already found a bunch of info on my horn issues

Both are nice looking trucks. Are you sure the 77 has a 4 inch it looks more like a 6 inch to me.
-

X2. How much did it cost to ship the s10 back?
-
i would put stacks on the 77 and caterpillar mudflaps but thats just me
-
Killer trucks! Welcome to the place and thanks for your service.

Welcome and thanks for your service.
-
yea, its just a 4 inch lift. the 35's look real small, don't they?
shipping the s10 from germany cost me nothing - the army will pay to ship one vehicle. it was a pain in the ass though, getting it to pass inspections - had to get rid of the 33's, rims, and the dumped exhaust i had. german inspections are real strict.
-
are those truxs's tires on the s10
-
33x12.5x15 truxus STS AT's
they were GREAT tires for the snow in germany
-
yeah they was designed for snow and sand my buddy has 33x12.50s on his k5 there a good tire on the hiway as well
-
i'm buying a 76 C10 Bonanza - it runs, its got a 350, and i'm going to swap the body onto my K20 frame. The C10 is white and in really good shape. After the body swap, I'm going to clean the 350 up and sell it to make up some of the costs.

Nice truck..where in Germany were you stationed,i grew up in Bielefeld and it was a US serviceman buddy of my dads who got me interested in American cars/trucks.. ;D
-
i was stationed in hohenfels, way down in southern bayern!

36x14.5 ground hawg II's
they clear perfectly, but they'll scrub with any flex so i'm still going to body lift it. the body lift will go on when i do the body swap!!
and 35's for the S10

the s10 stuck out like a sore thumb, the only other s10 i ever saw were americans trucks, and i never saw another lifted one anywhere.
