Hey everyone. Im tyler. im 15 years old and for my birthday back on october 17 2009 my dad bought me this truck. Since then me and him have been workin like crazy with a complete engin rebuild. when we first got the truck 2 lobes on the cam were flat so we set out to put out a new cam in there and as we dug deeper in to engine we just couldnt help but make everything in the motor better with new parts.
-
i will keep posting pictures here is a photo taken as of today with all engine accesories bak in the engine compartment. all we need to do is finish wiring and put the front clip back on and hook up the radiator before we can fire her up :o

Truckin 82, that looks like a great project.
Layne, you got me on that one, i'm at a loss for words.

They were both free and one was decent with no title and the other was trashed. I was 15 and needing a car soon. :D

looks like a cool project, my dad gave me his old truck to me when i was 14, i m 22 and finally got to tear it down last year and start re building it, with my dad, enjoy your project and the time you spend with your dad, it will be something you'll remember for the rest of your life

hey everyone, just an update on the project. today we finished up the wiring and we fired up the truck and she started up right away. we broke in the new cam and we checked everywhere for leaks, we found one but got it fixed right up. tomorrow we will bleed the breaks and get it on the road and take it around the block and disturb the neighborhood ;D haha well ill also get some pictures up tomorrow
-
Nice truck. Congratulations on getting it running. We like to disturb our neighbors around here. I didn't get my truck until I was 18 and we got married. I loved driving it to school.

That's awesome. Great work guys.
-
AWESOME Transformation! Great work!
-
Truck looks real nice! What size lift you got on it. Also what size tires and rims?
-
Awesome! My father never even took me fishing :'(
Looks great but why does it look like there's a huge gap between the cab and bed?
-
It's superlifts 4 inch all springs. In these pics it has 35's on 16.5 rims but it now has 325/70/20's. I'll get some new pics soon.
The bed to cab gap is because the bed isn't bolted on. It was scooted back while in the booth so I could paint between them.

thats a sweet truck glad u get to have that kind of experience with your dad. my dad complains that we dont spend enough time together since i go fishing with friends and he just wants to stay home and play black ops
-
I approve. :)
