I have all the interior trim I need to put into my truck except theres one problem...its the wrong color. What is the best stuff to use?
-
SEM Paint is what I recommend
-
+1 more for SEM. I have not had a chance to fully do my interior yet, but I did do 1 door panel about 6 months ago. Even the part where your arm rests is still looking brand new. If I had to wager a guess, I'd say it's going to pass the test of time. Unlike so many others.

Another vote for SEM

A+

I've been reading posts off the forum for some time and when Capt and Vile both agree you can take it to the bank. Sem is the way to go and it makes it look original. Duplicolor came out looking rough to the touch. I do think that Vile (correct me if I'm wrong) suggests to use bullydog adhesion spray before you paint. I did both and my interior parts turned out beautiful.

Anybody use the Colorbond from truck?
-
You definitely want to use an adhesion promoter.
-
bought that too. and the clearcoat.

What would you guys recommend for cleaning off flaking paint prior to putting down new paint? Id imagine that would need to be done first for best results.
-
I recommend following this procedure.

If its old spray paint I took dish soap red scotchbrites and paint thinner to get my clean.

Ok, so what shade of black should I use? Semi flat, flat?
-
Semi flat, but not on the dash, I would use flat personally myself. Just because the glare etc....
-
Awesome!...So I guess SEM semi-flat will look factory correct?
