what would cause my tranny to leak out the front? i changed front seal let truck idle for ten minutes and it leaked about a quart out of the front
-
Where? Behind the converter? If it is it's either the pump seal or converter seal. How is the pump bushing? Did you install the seal correctly?
-
all i did was r&r the seal,i had engine out so i thaught i would change seal as it leaked before, now it is worse, i believe i put it in correct ,it is coming from behind convertor. could thier be a pluged vent?
-
well i pulled the tranny and when i pulled convertor off the seal came to, what would cause the seal to get spit out?, i had it siliconed in it didnt just fall out
-
No need for silicone. Check the pump bushing and make sure you are using the correct seal. Install it flush and lube the seal. If it isn't going in there tight something is wrong.
