my 73 gmc has 16.5s on it.I'm wonderin if 16s will fit because that will open more tire options
-
The 16's will fit, you can get 15's to fit with a little grinding
-
wow :o15s id have to see it to belive it
-
Yep....just grind the tops of the calipers down an 1/8" or so and they fit fine.

so im assuming 15"s will clear the rear drums?
-
they make diffrent drums on a 3/4 ton I know they fit the smaller ones and I'm sure they fit the bigger ones but I would messure before hand

Summit sells a bunch of 15in 8 lugs they have 7,8,10,12,14 in widths available in chrome, black or white.
-
Tons of 8 lug 15's out there. Mostly the steelies, but they are cheap cheap. Prolly get a set of 4 for $200. Tires are cheaper for a 15" rim as well.

Have the white ones on my 79 K20. 35x12.50xR15 Mastercraft M/T's. Just took some black spray paint & a little grinding. ;)

My stepside had 44" Super Swampers with 15" rims on it. It had a 14 bolt full floater in the back. The front ran a 10 bolt with 1/2 ton 6 lug rotors on it so everything fit with no grinding. The truck was never 4 wheeled so the 10 bolt held up fine.

here is a D60 withn 13" rotors and 2500HD 16" spare rims on it granted the HD44 rotors are darwfed by the ones on the D60 i have ~/25-.30" of and inch clearance on these around the caliber
then rims are 16X6.5 with 5"BS withn 254/75/16 tires mounted on them
