Title: Stepside owners
Post by: Chevalade on March 10, 2010, 12:49:16 am
Here is a question for ya.

How much room is there between the front of the fender and the back of the cab?

I have a box coming, but I want to get started on some exhaust ideas. Thinking stacks, but I want to know how much room a guy has to work with.

Thanks.

your going to have to then cut some of the step away cause you be lucky to get a thickness of a hand between the box and the cab...

thanks

Yep, I am planning on removing the step that goes between the fender and the cab, and put a nice size stack in there to fill the void.

I guess the better question is, "If the step were removed, how much room would there be between the front of the fender and the back of the cab."

Awesome Chris, thanks. That helps a lot. I figure a set of 6" or 7" stacks would look mean. Just gotta see how the heat would be.

Final plan for the truck is 5" of lift, crew shortbox stepper, with stacks, and 35's to start, 42's to finish with a cummins. We pulled the motor, tranny, t-case last week from the donor.

I suppose I should get the build thread going....again.
