I just picked up an 89 4x4 suburban for $400. I was just calling about the front clip to put on my 87 truck. Now I wonder what all parts will interchange??? Front/rear ends? Steering column. dash and guages. calipers and rotors. etc. The main thing i am wondering about is the front and rearends. here is a pic of the burb. The parts will be going on the truck that is my profile pic. Thanks for your help.

pretty much the front doors forward and nearly everything mechanically will swap. Good score!

Check the RPO's--should find them in the glove box. you should be able to tell the axles, etc..

Finally I went and picked up my suburban I plan on using the rearend (after I determine what ratio), front core support etc. for the headlight swap, tilt steering collumn, Windsheild, and guage cluster. Not much else I can use.

You'd be surprised. Strip it good and save evrything in containers you can. The TBI system alone is a good score. What about the engine and drivetrain?

It didnt come with engine and tranny but it does still have the 241-c transfer case. I know nothing about these. Good , bad , ok ????? I dont know. And what are they worth used??
