hi i was wondering if anyone out there can help me out and get a couple of measurements off of a single cab shortbox 2wd C10. The first measurement would be the  wheel base from i guess center of the control arm to the rear axel. Second how wide it is from outside the front left tire to the outside of the right tire. and last how much the truck weighs. Thanks i would really appreciate it. my truck is at home and i want to bring it down here to Ohio and i need these measurements to see if i can rent a uhaul trailer. Thanks

Outside to outside measurements will vary a lot depending on what rims and tire sizes you have.

It has 15x8 rims and I don't know the tire size off the top of my head, but I do know there not far from stock size. 235/75/15

My truck is off site as well so no exact measurements, but I remember it filled up a standard 16' trailer and weight distribution was hard to balance. You may have more luck with the swb, but with a lwb there was not a lot of room to shift the weight and would have been a chore to tow for a long distance. I would recommend a tow dolly. The weight is at least 4800lbs with engine and trans.

the whole thing is its a uhaul trailer and they have certain requirements. so im hoping it works out

Ive been on the U haul site before, and they say you cant tow your truck on their trailer. I dont know if its because it wont fit, or the weight. You might run into problems with them allowing you to. I know because I was looking into renting one to tow my 79.

After you find the wheelbase dimensions, and it will fit on their trailer, you could fib and tell them your towing a different vehicle. Just make sure your tire will fit under their front straps. Also, make sure your towing vehicle can pull the trailer AND the truck. Its pretty heavy.

What about renting a flat trailer from a equipment rental place? Thats how I did it, a flat trailer for a tractor.

how complete is it ? Can you take a few days and break it down then get one of the box trucks from uhaul and load it in the back :)

If I read correctly, you want to bring the truck to you. Call rental shops and see how much a flat trailer is.
