so i want to do some work on the interior of my truck this weekend and one thing i want to get fixed is my window wont roll up quite all the way... it is electric and works fine but it just wont go the last 1/4 inch or so, it gets there then just makes a slipping kind of noise, i can put it all the way up but i have to manually lift it into place. any ideas on what this is? im thinking window regulator but then wouldnt it not work at all? maybe it just needs a adjusting?

I have manual windows on mine it was doing the same thing then one day I stripped the regulator then replaced it and it works fine now

Check the teeth on the regulator, they are possibly worn out if it goes up and just stops.

okay thanks guys ill check it out and and let you know what i find out, is there anyway to fix that or should i just be looking for a new (used) one on my next trip to pick and pull?

I would just buy one from autozone or advanced
-
We sell them too.

do you have the regulator only for existing power window trucks? Both regulators in my truck are shot. I only saw manual and electric conversion regulators. Thanks
-
Are you asking about just the regulator by itself?
-
yup, electric regulators only. My motors are good.
