So i took the rearend out of another truck. Looks like someone has been in it. Could i just jack my truck up and see if the front and rear wheels move the same???? Any advice would be appreciated

what are you trying to find out?

If you are trying to see if the rear end is the same gearing as your front end you will need to take the covers off both. Either count the ring gear, and pinion gear teeth, or get the last numbers off the ring gear which are the ring and pinion tooth count.

Yea im trying to figure out if the front and rear are the same gearing. Thankyou

or you can jack it up and count how many driveshaft rotations it takes to make the tire rotate once. 4 1/2 times equals 4:56, 3 3/4 times equals 3:78 and so on
