I JUST READ A POST FROM WAY BACK AND THIS GUY WANTED TO KNOW IF HE SHOULD
GET MAN LOCKING HUBS ON HIS TRUCK FOR AN NP203 OR DO THE CONVERSION KIT TO STOP THE FRONT FROM TURNING,
OR POSSIBLY GET THE MILE MARKER SHAFT.......AND SO ON.
THE ADVICE ENDED UP FAVORING HIM GETTING MAN HUBS AND KEEPING THJE 203.
MY QUESTION IS, I GOT A 203 W MAN HUBS SOMEONE PUT ON THAT SERVE BASICALLY NO PURPOSE.
BUT IF I DONT HAVE THE HUBS LOCKED, I CAN ONLY MOVE IN THE LOC POSITIONS. IF HE GETS LOCKING HUBS WOULDNT HE HAVE TO KEEP THEM LOCKED ANYWAY? OR RUN IN H-LOC OR L-LOC? ALL THIS IS FOR MY CONFUSION NOT THIS OTHER GUYS.
AM I UNDERSTANDING THIS CORRECTLY?

maybe you don't have the part time kit installed in your transfer case

THATS RIGHT I DO NOT. BUT THE WAY MINE WORKS IS LOCK THE HUBS ALL THE TIME.
OPTION 1...........UNLOCK HUBS BUT ONLY MOVE IN LOC POSITION.
IN MINE REGULAR H or L MAKES THE FRONT SHAFT SPIN CAUSE OF LEAST RESISTANCE OVER THE REAR SHAFT WHEN HUBS NIT LOCKED.
OR IS IT BROKE?

You need the part time kit in the 203 when you put manual hubs on.
