hi,  just joined the site i just picked a 85 gmc stepside and i'm building a driver, the truck is in not bad shape just need's a little work . the problem is i think the motor's been changed all the gauges won't work i t tried changeing the engin harness thinking he went from light's to a gauge dash still no luck got mach. gauge's got new gas sending unit gas gauge now work's but the speedo is still not working any help would be great in getting the speedo up and working is it a wireing promblem or electrical please be gentel i'm new to gmc ???

The speedo is mechanical.  Is the cable connected on the speedo?  What about the transmission?
