Title: bed bolts/removing it all alone
Post by: 2502 on April 03, 2010, 02:01:44 am: i saw some posts with a cherry picker but can't find any pics before i try to rig my own setup.

also, the bed bolts are rusted, when i did get them to bust loose, they're turning up top anyway. i'd cut them off, and just get new ones anyway but i can't even get a cut off wheel under there to cut it off. any other suggestions? if anyone's got pics of what they used to move teh bed alone please post them..

at this point i dont want anyone else's hands on my truck.

Post by: 2502 on April 03, 2010, 06:52:10 am: i can't get enuff slack on it to cut it off from the top, my cutoff wheels i can't fit thru the bottom. i dont have a welder lol. i got frustrated and quit early yesterday between that and the crap from the burban. so i'm going to take a quick nap, make sure i'm not hungover and hit it up here as soon as it warms up a bit outside... just gotta find someone to lend me a cherry picker

it looks like they may have coated the underneath of my bed with something, looks like worn out rhino liner or something similar. i'm wondering, since i can't get a cherry picker out here unless i dump 200 on one, and i want to inspect everything on it, fix the small dent on the end of the bed, should i just disassemble it, and use something to re-undercoat to keep it from rusting?

You should be able to find them much cheaper than $200 also.
