Hey guys, first post here!
I just picked up this 76 Half Ton truck, and it looks to have been lifted at some point. There is about a 3" block under the rear, and since it sits pretty level, I assume that the front has new springs. The shocks are worn out, so I need to order some up, any suggestions on size / brand for a light lift like this? I'm looking for good street handling with the occasional trip offroad. Also, the tires currently on the truck are 31's and are shot. I should be able to fit some 33's under there, right?

I have tough country shocks on mine. And they are inexpensive. Just e mail them at roughcountry.com, tell them what you have and they will be able to hook you up. And welcome to the site.

Hi and welcome to the site. I put nitro charged Rough Country shocks on my 78 shorty and it's a really harsh rough/stiff ride on the street. They work great off road where the ride quality doesn't matter. If it's just going to be primarily driven on the street go with just run of the mill shocks for a lifted truck. If it's goung to be driven mostly off road by all means put on the nitro's.
