Title: Fuel cell question
Post by: Andy4802 on April 10, 2010, 09:56:09 am
This may be a stupid question so be easy on me if it is...

I am looking a replacing my rear mounted gas tank on my 1980 shortbox stepside with a fuel cell. Most of the cells i have seen have a feed line and a vent line but nothing for a return... would i have to add a return line myself to the fuel cell or can i go without it somehow?
My truck has a 350 with edelbrock performer RPM intake and a holley double pumper, and standard factory mechanical fuel pump, if it makes any difference.
thanks

Andy, Most of the cells made in the last 10 years or so have a return port. The aluminum ones that Jeg's & Summit sell do for sure. Summit's SUM293215-S or SUM293220-S will work well, the return port is in the front Left-upper corner. You really wouldn't need the return with a stock pump. Hope this helps, Lorne
