Title: Front brake hoses
Post by: chronos on April 13, 2010, 09:59:36 am
Hoping for some help
How is it that the front brake hoses from frame to capliar come off?

At the caliper side, you just undo the banjo bolt and the hose comes off the caliper.  On the frame side, put a wrench on the hose to hold it still.  Use a flare nut wrench to undo the hard line.  Then undo the nut inside the frame rail to remove the hose.

Thanks , I got the hose off.
I had ordered a new hose off ebay and the fitting that goes to the frame is different.
Can I just have a round hole in the frame instead of the hex shaped hole that is in the frame now?
The new hose fitting going into the frame is just round. Will this work by making the hex hole round to fit the new hose and then using a nut on the inside of the frame to secure it? Hope I explained it well enough for someone to understand....lol
Can post pics later if needed
Thanks

mine i think were round with two flat edges but they get held on by clips on the backside of the mounting tab
