what axles are in the 5/4 ton military trucks?
-
14 bolt, and a Dana 60.
-
They had 4.56 gears too.
-
From what I have gathered the M-1008 trucks had an open differential in the D60 front. The M-1028 trucks had the trac-lok in the D60 front.
There is a tag pop riveted to the inside of the driver's door that will have the M-designation stamped into it.
